ince its founding in 1986, the Maison de la Science has been known as a place of learning and experimentation. Scientific demonstrations and experiments of all kinds have delighted visitors for more than 30 years. In recent years, collectors' items have been added to these experimental devices and have given the museum a new historical and heritage dimension. Between 2018, when the Maison de la Science was officially recognized as a museum, and 2022, more than 1,000 pieces were added to the inventory.
These collections, dating from the 18th to the 21st century, document a large part of the University of Liege's Science & Technology heritage in fields such as mechanics, medicine, chemistry, pharmacy, optics ... and many others.
